Custom Decorated Cakes - by Vicki

If you think custom decorated cakes would be a good small business idea for your own enterprise, then here are some examples for you to take a look at. These cakes are made by Vicki Welke, our Baker by Night here at Sensible Small Business Ideas.

I can see that her true passion is being a baker. I think you'll soon agree. She is quite an edible art master.

Let's look at some of her creations that aren't shown on her main page.

As you view these, just remember that everything you see is edible except the plate that it sits on.

A custom decorated cake in the form of a snooker table.

The custom cake above is a snooker table. Apparently, it was a cake for a pool shark.

A custom decorated cake in the form of a hat and purse and shoes.

How about this stylish hat and purse with a pair of open-toe shoes.

Baby carriage cake.

Here is a cake in the form of a baby in a baby carriage. Talk about "having one in the oven," this is the real thing - complete with a handle and an ornate sun shade for the baby.

A custom decorated cake in the form of a fisherman alongside of a river.

Here is a fisherman sitting alongside of a river. How did she get the water to stay on the cake? It's amazing.

Cake for the 4th of July.

If you're having a 4th of July party, then this is the cake to have. Colorful, patriotic and completely edible except for the decorations that stand apart from the cake. Well, you could eat them if you really wanted to.

Wedding cake.

Here's a fancy wedding cake. I like this style much more than the traditional wedding cake. It's has much more visual appeal.

A custom decorated cake in the form of a designer purse.

And a cake for a woman to be sure - it's in the form of a designer purse.

VFW cake.

How about a cake for a party at the local VFW to celebrate the Ladies Auxiliary? Here you go, complete with the insignia of the organization.

Custom decorated cake with a phantom of the opera theme.

Any opera fans out there? Here is a cake with a Phantom of the Opera theme.

A custom decorated cake in the form of a bottle of wine.

Now you're talking my kind of cake - in the form of a bottle of wine. Forget the ice cream, just get me a nice wine glass and a little Cabernet please.

Specially designed 90th birthday cake.

This is a 90th birthday cake for a woman. If you live to 90, you deserve a fancy cake like this.

You have to admit that Vicki has a way with custom decorated cakes. I don't know how she does it, but she certainly must take a lot of time doing it.

What amazes me is she runs a gel nails salon and creates these delicious works of art. Apparently no one ever taught her to be afraid of work. Good for her, and good for her customers.
